"Nancy’s teaching method is nothing short of creative ingenuity. She has an uncanny ability to get into the minds of young children and connect with them. Through the use of creative analogies, storybooks and imagery, she has developed a holistic and kinesthetic approach that children understand. My daughter started golf lessons at the age of 4 with a different teacher and was making little progress after 6 months. I switched over to Nancy and her swing improved with just one lesson. Nancy was able to observe her swing, diagnose what the problem was, then correct the problem using her special magical language that my daughter immediately identified with. How do you explain to a 4 year old how to play golf? I know I’ve made the absolute right decision in having my daughter enter Nancy’s magical world of rainbows, dragons, elves, cats and froggies to show her how. Nancy’s teaching method also allows me (who knows nothing about the game) to understand what my daughter should/should not be doing. By learning Nancy’s language, I am able to practice with my daughter and reinforce what Nancy teaches her. My daughter’s last teacher just gave her lessons and I had no idea how to help her game when the teacher wasn’t around. Nancy’s “language” is immensely helpful to someone who knows nothing about the game. It is a critical part of enabling me help my daughter improve. Her overall teaching method also allows me to participate in my daughter’s golf education. My daughter loves golf and I love “playing” with her."

One of my student’s parents recently wrote me saying “SWINGplay is an amazing teaching program for golf for young kids through adults. This is my third session of lessons with Nancy and each time I am so impressed with how well she gets kids. I have been a LBUSD teacher for the past 11 years and I can see that she totally gets kids. My four year old loves the fun stories and tools she uses to teach him how to grab the club and follow through on his swing. My niece and nephew still remember "froggy foot"™ when they need to lift their foot at the end of the swing. Nancy's ability to relate to kids and speak to them on terms they understand makes learning the game of golf fun and enjoyable. Even my husband improved his swing by watching her teach my son. She is great for the whole family. I can’t say enough nice things about Nancy's SWINGplay program...but that we are going to keep coming back for more!”

“Golf is now leprechauns and smiling faces that guide my grandson’s golfing endeavors. You have truly made golfing into a golf “game” rather than a compilation of easily forgettable and boring rules regarding grips, swings and positions. Every one of your lessons has resulted in getting complete attention of my grandson-an amazing fact since he is only 6 years old.”

“SWINGplay Program is wonderfully creative and effective. We had a difficult time keeping the attention of our 5 and 6 year olds, but Nancy and her SWINGplay Program kept our youngest juniors interested the entire time. My daughter had so much fun that she really looked forward to it every week. Nancy is warm, patient, creative, and energetic instructor. I highly recommend her and her SWINGplay Program.”

“They read her stories out loud, and learned about the fundamentals of golf before ever picking up a putter or a club. For days they sat, played, read and listened, and then participated in activities, and demonstrated magically all that they had learned. I watched in awe. They remembered. And they executed.”
“I found myself able to recall all of what she said and did, because she associated actions and concepts in so many different and fun ways that it became impossible not to remember them.Through art, storytelling, and sticker/cutout play, Nancy made a tremendous impact on these children’s lives.
The magical truth is, SWINGplay works just as well for adults as it does for children. I can’t say enough about Nancy and her methods. She simply works magic.

Watching the juniors learn, participate and improve during the program, made all of the difference for a great session. All are anxious to continue golf and practice. You helped us to achieve our goal of finding a program for the novice junior golfers to learn the foundation of golf without a golf course. Great program, “THANKS”.

As Nancy went through her workbook and storybook during PAPERplay, I found that I was learning the basics of golf with very little effort. I was totally impressed and found that I could not wait to return to the next class. PAPERplay makes use of auditory, visual as well as kinesthetic principles. As a result it has a wide appeal to different learning styles. Nancy has demystified golf to me. Thank You Nancy for creating such a wonderful program that is both easy to learn as well as teach.
