Criteria
The selection process for the Top 50 Kids Teachers requires all applicants to submit written material about their junior golf programs, coaching philosophy, reasons why their programs are successful and letters of recommendations from students or parents. Other information includes percentage of total teaching time spent on teaching kids, number of kids in their program, schedules, student to teacher ratios and attrition rates.
This in depth process allows our committee to "see into" each teacher's program and get an understanding of what they offer, how they organize their program schedules and implement all aspects of their learning programs for kids. Applicants also tell us why they should be selected to this elite group. The committee reviews all the information submitted and bases the selections on the information provided.
